OSTEOPATHY IN HAMBURG

HOLISTIC, EMPATHETIC, EFFECTIVE

Gentle manual therapy for adults, babies, pregnant women, and children. In my practice in Hamburg, I take the time to find the true causes of your ailments—not just treat the symptoms.

DO YOU KNOW THAT?

You've been carrying around this tension in your neck for weeks, and it just won't go away. Or your back starts acting up every morning as soon as you get up. Perhaps it's something more diffuse—exhaustion, inner restlessness, the feeling that your body is no longer in balance.

You're functioning. But you sense that your body is trying to tell you something.
If you're looking for someone who pays close attention, understands the connections, and truly takes the time to listen—then you've come to the right place.

Don't just treat symptoms

understand where they come from

In osteopathy, I consider your body as a whole. Your back pain could be related to an old foot injury. Your headaches could be related to tension in your abdomen. Your sleep problems could be related to a blocked pelvis.

With my hands, I feel for tension and blockages in muscles, fascia, organs, and joints—often in places you would never have thought of. My goal is to recognize these connections and give your body the opportunity to regulate itself.

This may sound unusual. But that's exactly what my patients experience time and again: that symptoms they've been carrying around for years disappear — because someone finally looked in the right place.

How osteopathy can help

Osteopathy is suitable for a wide range of conditions—acute and chronic, physical and stress-related. Here you will find the most common issues that patients bring to me.

Back and joint pain

The musculoskeletal system is the most common reason why people seek osteopathy.

I don't just look where it hurts, but find the actual cause.

  • Back pain and disc problems

  • Neck tension and stiff neck

  • Sciatica and sacroiliac joint dysfunction

  • Shoulder and arm pain

  • Knee problems and foot problems

Headaches, migraines & jaw problems

Tension headaches, migraines and jaw problems (CMD) are often related to tension in the neck, skull and fascia.

Osteopathy can identify and resolve these tension patterns.

  • Tension headaches and migraines

  • Jaw problems, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD) and teeth grinding

  • Tinnitus and dizziness

  • Sleep disorders and exhaustion

  • Inner restlessness and stress symptoms

Digestive problems & visceral complaints

Many people are unaware that osteopathy can also help with digestive problems.

Through visceral osteopathy, I work gently on the internal organs and their surrounding tissue.

  • Irritable bowel syndrome and bloating

  • Bloating and constipation

  • heartburn

  • Menstrual cycle problems

Regeneration after injuries and surgeries

After accidents, operations or prolonged immobilization, osteopathy can support regeneration and restore mobility.

Scar tissue, protective postures and compensation patterns can be treated in a targeted manner.

Pediatric osteopathy

gentle help for the little ones

In pediatric osteopathy, I work with particular gentleness and sensitivity. Babies and children often react to even the slightest stimuli. Many ailments in the first months of life can be traced back to tensions that arose during pregnancy or birth.

Typical concerns of babies:

  • Wry neck and favorite side

  • Drinking and breastfeeding problems

  • Crying babies and restlessness

  • Sleep disorders

  • Three-month colic and bloating

; birth trauma (cesarean section, vacuum extraction, prolonged labor)

This is what makes osteopathy special

Osteopathy views the person as a whole, not just individual symptoms. Instead of treating individual complaints in isolation, osteopathy seeks connections between the musculoskeletal system, organs, nervous system, and internal tension patterns.

Osteopathy during pregnancy

Your body accomplishes incredible things during pregnancy—and sometimes it makes that noticeable. Osteopathy can gently release tension in the pelvis and back, prepare your body for childbirth, and support you during postpartum recovery. Working with pregnant women and new mothers is especially important to me.

Arrival & Initial Consultation:

We will take 75–90 minutes for your first appointment. I want to understand what brings you to me, what symptoms you are experiencing, and what your body's history is.

Assessment & Treatment:

Using my hands, I feel for tension and restrictions in your tissue. I work with three approaches: parietal (musculoskeletal system), visceral (internal organs), and craniosacral (skull, spine, nervous system).

After the treatment, your body needs time to recover

. I recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for 2-3 days and drinking plenty of water. Most patients come 3-5 times for a specific issue.

How a session can feel

Many of my patients describe a feeling of profound relief—as if something they have carried with them for a long time is being released. Some feel a pleasant heaviness, others an inner spaciousness.

About me

My journey to osteopathy began with physiotherapy—and the feeling that something was missing. I didn't just want to treat individual symptoms, but to understand why they were there. Osteopathy gave me exactly that: a view of the whole person.

After completing my nearly five-year osteopathy training, I furthered my education in craniosacral therapy, specializing in pregnant women, babies, and adults. Working with pregnant women and young families is particularly important to me.

In my practice on Grasweg in Hamburg, it's important to me that you feel safe and well cared for. I listen, take my time, and work transparently—if I realize that osteopathic treatment isn't the right approach for you, I'll tell you honestly.

Qualifications:

  • Alternative practitioner specializing in osteopathy.

  • Certified osteopath (5 years, SFO Kassel)

  • Craniosacral Therapy (Katharina Bähner, Stuttgart)

  • Specialization: Pregnancy support, childbirth preparation, infants & toddlers

  • Physiotherapist since 2017

Languages: German & English
